JARRELL COOK

Jarrell Cook helps manage CATALYST’s California government affairs practice from the firm’s Sacramento, California office.

Before joining CATALYST, Jarrell was a partner at the government relations firm Resolute, where he advocated on behalf of a variety Fortune 500 companies, innovative startups and technology incubators, non-profits, and financial services firms, representing them before California’s Legislature, as well as state and federal agencies.

Prior to joining Resolute, Jarrell oversaw a broad portfolio as a Policy Director for the California Manufacturers and Technology Association (CMTA). In serving as the voice for the state’s 30,000 company-strong manufacturing industry, he spearheaded the growth of CMTA’s key policies on technology and economic development while gaining a deep knowledge of the issues facing a wide variety of sectors — including automotive, food and beverage, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, aerospace and national defense, connected devices, and other emerging technologies.

Jarrell holds J.D. from Stanford Law School and graduated magna cum laude from Morehouse College. Before engaging in policy and government relations, he worked as an attorney in Washington, D.C., conducting internal investigations and advising clients on matters related to corporate governance, government contracts, litigation, telecommunications, and privacy & data management.
