RACHAEL SCHREIBER

Rachael Schreiber helps lead CATALYST’s multistate government affairs practice nationally and leads the firm’s Austin, Texas office.

After two decades navigating government from the municipal to the federal level, Rachael has a unique blend of private and public sector experience making her an effective advocate and strategist for businesses seeking to effectively engage with elected officials, leadership staff, agency heads and policymakers. Her more than 20 years of professional experience has earned her invaluable institutional knowledge, deep personal relationships and a long record of effectiveness as she advocates on behalf of CATALYST’s clients.

Before joining CATALYST, Rachael served as vice president of government relations for one of the largest consumer specialty finance companies in the United States and led its professional teams across the country. In her private sector role, Rachael was responsible for crafting a multistate political and legislative strategy to promote and protect company interests while enhancing brand reputation and awareness. Internally, she launched a company-wide initiative to encourage civic participation among its thousands of team members and led grassroots initiatives to improve experiences for both customers and employees.

Prior to leading on consumer finance issues, Rachael served at some of the highest level positions in the Texas State Capitol, working for high-profile chairmen, as well as the Speaker of the House. During her tenure as a chief of staff, she was responsible for advising on a variety of public policy issues while also directing the members’ legislative strategies and communications. Rachael worked to find avenues for collaboration on both sides of the aisle during her time in the Texas legislature.

Rachael is skilled in stakeholder relationships, coalition-building, and accessing all levels of government.  She has a long history of leadership in organizations representing the business community, including state chambers of commerce and industry-specific trade associations. During her time in financial services, she served as President of the Consumer Service Alliance of Texas.

Rachael graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Government with minors in history and sociology. She continues to live in Austin where she volunteers with Austin Pets Alive!, the rescue organization responsible for making Austin the largest No-Kill city in the country.
